An inspiration wedding in Ponza is one of those things that you’ll never forget. In that tiny island that turns its back at Sabaudia, facing, all alone, the blu horizon of the Tyrrhenian Sea, there is a special charm that is difficult to describe with words.
We set off full of enthusiasm: at the dawn, the ferry left the mainland and the fresh breeze came all of a sudden with the buzz of being all together, ready for a new adventure to come!
Being on the same wavelenght is a matter of chemistry. It comes all at once. You can’t build it up: you just breathe it. Monica, Tommaso, Jenny, Graziano Camilla, Cristina, Fulvia, Elisa, Simone, Paolo: they were all on the jetty warmly welcoming who they already knew and introducing themselves to the new ones.
During the crossing we chatted, we poked fun at each other, we laughed. It was a way to pander the vibrant atmosphere of a day that we knew would have been special, a way to dispel the normal tension coming with new and exciting events.
Here you are, Ponza. The first step on that old and marvellous rock gave us a thrill. But it was still nothing compared to the sun we saw rising the day after, our first day there. Then, fears and worries immediately disappeared with the first click of the shutter, the first “rec” we pushed on.
Four dawns and five sunsets in Ponza. We saw waves, sand and rocks, saints and old pictures, typical houses and fishermen. We saw an incredible amount of wild, free and pure beauty. And we witnessed the great harmony of a team working together under a sky turning more and more blue as the time passed.
Ponza stole our heart. Something magic happened there: it has been the proof that working hard is not only being stressed, focused and severe but it can also mean to have some laughs together, to encourage and support each other, to have a coffe together before the dawn, having a candle-lit dinner.
Ponza stole our heart. And so did the company and the passion of all those who spent time there with us, turning this inspiration wedding into a unique, magic occasion.
